Sorolla through the light

This new exhibition on the painter Joaquín Sorolla offers a first-time experiment of a novel combination: the exquisite selection of an interesting group of original paintings, many of which come from private collections and have therefore rarely been seen before, and new exhibition formats which, through their use of the latest technology—LED multiscreen and virtual reality displays—immerse the visitor in a spectacle of images in movement and sound that broaden and intensify the sensory effect of the painting and allow us to travel a hundred years into the past, to the time of the painter. No painting is more suited to this type of fusion than Sorolla’s work, where light and color support the image.
