The Museo del Prado Library has undergone significant development, one of the most significant being the growth of its bibliographic collection. This has been crucial for the acquisition of several private libraries, particularly that of the lawyer and art historian José Maria Cervelló in 2003. The result has been the formation of an old collection of some 4,500 volumes, notable for its specialization in art history and the rarity of some of its copies. Its recent formation makes it a little-known collection, even among specialists. This exhibition therefore aims to showcase the variety and importance of the Prado Library through a representative collection of 40 volumes.
