This book explores the history of private clubs in Spain, places where people with common interests, experiences, or ties gather, away from the public. Over time, these clubs have generated mystery, legends, and myths, and belonging to one implies being part of a special group. From the 19th-century clubs linked to politically influential circles, to those of the 20th century, focused on sports (such as sailing, tennis, golf, and polo, where Olympic champions were born), and those of the 21st century, which focus on solidarity. There are more than one hundred of these clubs in Spain, some of which have existed for more than a century. The book narrates their history and that of the individuals who were part of them, as well as the events and transformations that have occurred in their halls over the years.
