The Alicia Koplowitz-Grupo Omega Capital Collection is, without a doubt, one of the finest private collections in Spain. Comprising works that span the entire history of Western art, from the classical to the contemporary era, the collection is marked by an unmistakable autobiographical imprint in which the feminine universe takes on special importance. Also noteworthy are the collections of works from the 18th and 20th centuries, historic centuries in the process of modernization of art. This catalogue includes the exhibition, unprecedented in Spain, presenting the Alicia Koplowitz-Grupo Omega Capital Collection. Held at the Bilbao Fine Arts Museum from July to October 2017, it brings together a selection of around 90 works by major artists such as Zurbarán, Pantoja de la Cruz, Goya, Canaletto, Van Gogh, Toulouse Lautrec, Picasso, Tàpies, Bacon, Calder, and Louis Bourgeois, among others.
