Mexico and Mexicans in the Kaluz Collection

This catalog accompanies the Kaluz Museum's inaugural exhibition, Mexico and Mexicans in the Kaluz Collection, as a faithful demonstration of a collector's passion for his cultural and artistic heritage.

With a selection of more than two hundred works spanning a period of more than 250 years, mostly Mexican figurative paintings, the exhibition aims to show the Mexico seen by all those painters captivated by its beauty, its rarity, and its majesty. This pictorial exhibition speaks of us, of our landscape, our people, our food and customs, our traditions, exalting their splendor.

The talent and vision of renowned artists such as Pelegrín Clavé, José María Velasco, Joaquín Clausell, Gerardo Murillo "Dr. Atl," Ángel Zárraga, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros, José Clemente Orozco, and Raúl Anguiano are among the most notable works in the Kaluz Museum's collection.
