Joaquín Sorolla's artistic output encompasses some 4,200 works in oil, watercolor, and gouache. Blanca Pons-Sorolla, his great-granddaughter and leading expert on his legacy, has dedicated more than three decades to systematically cataloging and studying this vast oeuvre. The result is a chronological catalogue raisonné, the first edition of which was published in 2019, coinciding with major exhibitions at the National Gallery in London and the National Gallery of Ireland, which reaffirmed the painter's international recognition.

The first volume focuses on the approximately 1,300 paintings held at the Sorolla Museum, a collection essential for understanding his career. In addition to the works, it includes a detailed biochronology, an updated bibliography, a record of his exhibitions, and a methodological introduction to cataloging.
