This exhibition on the painter Joaquín Sorolla will offer a hitherto unprecedented combination, being tested here for the first time: an exquisite selection of an interesting set of original paintings—many of them belonging to private collections and therefore rarely seen before—and new exhibition formats that, using cutting-edge technical resources—multiple LED screens and virtual reality—immerse visitors in a spectacle of moving images and sounds that amplify and intensify the sensorial effect of the painting and allow us to travel back a hundred years to the painter's time. No other painting could better lend itself to this fusion than Sorolla's, which uses light and color as its principal medium.
